Inter agree Lukaku terms

Inter Milan have agreed personal terms with the representatives of Romelu Lukaku, according to SportMediaset.

Federico Pastorello, who represents the Belgian striker, has accepted Inter s offer on his behalf, and now all that remains is for the two clubs to agree on a potential transfer fee. United paid Everton £75 million for his services back in 2016, but Lukaku hasn t been able to justify such a hefty price tag on the pitch. He has lost his place in the starting XI under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and wants to join Inter. The club aren t opposed to letting him go, but they wish to recoup most of what they paid and they apparently demand in excess of £60 million.

It remains to be seen whether Inter agree to go that high, or United lower their demand, or if the 2…

Guardiola´s ´genius´ inspiring Sterling at Manchester City

Sterling detailed a strong bond of trust between himself and his manager, one that came through links to Arsenal around the transfer deadline unscathed.

The 22-year-old was mentioned as a potential makeweight in any deal to take Alexis Sanchez from Emirates Stadium to Manchester – rumours that Guardiola strongly refuted – but Sterling never entertained the possibility without word from his boss.

I didn t need to speak with him. I already spoke to him in the summer about pre-season. I didn t have any negative thoughts about it, he explained.

I woke up with England one day and saw it. I didn t believe a word of it. If I d heard something from the manager then I would believe it.

It wasn t something that I was worried about because I think Pep is an h…

Extraordinary – Wrexham director says reception in US has exceeded expectations

Wrexham executive director Humphrey Ker says America’s reaction to the team this summer has exceeded their wildest expectations.

The Welsh club have become one of the most talked-about teams in the world since Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took charge 30 months ago.

The ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ docuseries has seen the club wins hearts and minds across the world, with that blossoming fandom clear during this summer’s US tour.

More than 50,000 were in attendance for last week’s friendly against Chelsea in North Carolina and many of the 34,248 at Tuesday’s friendly against Manchester United’s youngsters were rooting for the League Two club.

“It’s been extraordinary, really,” actor and club executive director Ker told the PA…

Chelsea are preparing for offers from Liverpool and Ligue 1 outfit Paris St Germain for England international defender Levi Colwill.

Southampton v Crystal Palace: Pardew relishing St Mary´s return

Alan Pardew is excited about returning to one of his former clubs as Crystal Palace head to Southampton in the FA Cup.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is relishing his return to Southampton for Saturday s FA Cup fourth-round tie.

Pardew, who was sacked as Southampton boss in 2010 after just over a year in charge, left Newcastle United earlier this month to take over at Palace, for whom he was a player for four years from 1987.

He has since overseen three successive victories, including a 4-0 win over non-League Dover in the third round of the Cup, and a 3-2 comeback triumph over Burnley in the Premier League last weekend.

However, Pardew has endured a miserable run of results at St Mary s since his dismissal by Southampton.

Castillo makes Mexican move

Mexican club Pachuca have officially agreed to bring Nery Castillo to the South American nation for the first time in his career.

After 12 years in Europe, the 28-year-old celebrated his most recent birthday by leaving Aris Thessaloniki and signing a three-year contract with the Hidalgo side.

Castillo will reunite with Hugo Sanchez, who coached him from 2007 to 2008 with El Tri. The former Olympiakos striker burst onto the international scene under Sanchez s tutelage, with a fantastic Copa America 2007 campaign that saw Castillo score against Brazil, Ecuador and Paraguay.

His performance at the South American competition sealed a big-money transfer to Shakhtar Donetsk, but he struggled to nail down a first-team spot. Loan spells at Manchester City, Dnipro Dnipro…

The Blades have earned two promotions in three seasons since Wilder took charge in May 2016.

Chris signing a new contract underpins everything we are attempting to do at Bramall Lane, chief executive officer Stephen Bettis told United s official website.

He s been the catalyst for our success over the past few years, he is a driven individual and his focus since promotion was secured has been preparing t…

Mbappe hunts down Real Madrid move

According to a recent report from Marca, Kylian Mbappe has formally asked Paris Saint-Germain to negotiate his move away from the club with Real Madrid.

Real have opened up proceedings with a €160 million offer but as of this writing, PSG are yet to respond.

They may partly be holding out for a better deal or, alternatively, they may be putting the necessary pieces in place to replace Mbappe with someone else potentially even Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mbappe may not have had the best time at Euro 2020 but he s still considered to be one of the best players in world football. If he truly wants to be the main man then a switch to Real Madrid makes a whole lot of sense, but given how much fire power PSG are going to have this season, it also makes sense for him to somew…
